RPS Inter College was established in 1974 by The Late Rajendra Prasad, a visionary who saw the importance of providing quality education to the community. The institution was originally named Rajendra Prasad Saarvajanik Vidyalaya and initially operated as a Hindi medium school, catering to the educational needs of the local population.

Following the death of Rajendra Prasad in 1994, the responsibility of managing the school was passed to his son, Mr. Sant Kumar Gupta. Under his leadership, the school continued to thrive. At the same time, Mr. V.K. Sharma served as the Principal, dedicating his valuable time and making significant contributions to the school’s development. Mr. VK Sharma’s tenure from 1992 to 2020 was marked by his unwavering commitment to improving the quality of education and fostering a nurturing environment for students. His efforts played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the institution.

In 2007, RPS Inter College expanded its educational offerings with the establishment of RP Convent School (English Medium). This new venture was spearheaded by Principal Mr. Durgesh Tripathi (D.K. Tripathi), who brought a fresh perspective and dynamic leadership to the institution. Initially, the English Medium section offered classes up to the 10th standard. However, recognizing the growing demand for quality English medium education, Principal expanded the school in 2014 to include classes up to the 12th standard.

The expansion proved to be highly successful. The first year saw remarkable achievements, with 60% of the students being selected for government services. Additionally, many students excelled in competitive entrance exams for medical fields, such as CPMT or NEET, while others went on to achieve success in their chosen fields. These accomplishments reflected the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.

Presently, the Hindi medium section is led by Principal Mr. Damodar Prasad Shukla (D.P. Shukla), who continues to uphold the school’s tradition of excellence. Concurrently, the English Medium venture remains under the capable leadership of Principal Mr. Durgesh Tripathi (D.K. Tripathi), who has maintained a consistent focus on providing high-quality education and fostering an environment where students can thrive.

Under the combined leadership and vision of these dedicated educators, RPS Inter College  and RP Convent School continues to be a beacon of educational excellence, shaping the minds and futures of countless students.
